Participants will be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk upon successful completion of all
three (3) online sessions and the assessment task.

Course information

Early childhood educators play a vital role in advocating for the protection of children. 
This workshop will equip educators with the skills required to identify and respond to suspicions of abuse. This workshop is based on the unit CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk from the current CHC Community Services package. 

This workshop explores: 
Current legislation
Ethical considerations (UNICEF Rights of the Child and Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics)
Indicators of risk of harm
Documenting current concerns
Responding to a disclosure 
Mandatory reporting and early intervention programs
Interagency collaboration
